Firstly I will make clear what bullet drop means. I believe everyone understands the term gravity. This means that every thing is subject to gravity, as a consequence basically needs to go down to the earth. And
even if it appears like that a slug, by its high velocity, would not be subject to the gravity, this is not true. As quickly as the slug leaves your barrel of your rifle, gravity start to drag on it.
Of course a shot made at a little distance will not be affected so greatly through gravity. Nevertheless a shot over a long distance, will make your slug be more subject to the gravity.
